The composition prominently features the phrases "Brown" and "Pride" rendered in elaborate Chicano calligraphy, framing imagery rooted in Mesoamerican and Chicano cultural traditions. Dominating the foreground is a reclining jaguar, while behind it an Aztec-style skull emerges between two stepped pyramids. To the right, an Aztec warrior wearing a feathered headdress stands with a macuahuitl (obsidian-bladed club) and shield, appearing to have hunted or conquered the jaguar.
