Functional Russian VT-40 “Judgment Day” (Судный День) FPV drone, one of the most recognizable mass-produced attack drones fielded by Russian forces during the later stages of the war in Ukraine. Developed under the Sudoplatov-backed “Judgment Day” program, the VT-40 became widely associated with frontline drone units due to its payload capacity, extended range, and large-scale battlefield deployment. Unlike fiber-optic systems such as the KTN series, the VT-40 operates via conventional radio-control links and FPV video transmission, representing the standard Russian FPV strike drone concept of the period.
This example remains fully functional and retains its original field configuration. As one of the drones produced under Russia’s state-backed FPV expansion effort, the VT-40 reflects a pivotal period in the evolution of modern drone warfare and the rapid industrialization of FPV production on the battlefield.
Additionally, it retains its original FPV camera assembly, which bears a personalized engraved initial accompanied by a star symbol on the camera housing.
