Manufactured by an incarcerated individual for close-quarters combat within a correctional facility.

Description

Improvised prison weapon constructed from a cylindrical steel rod sharpened to a tapered point. The rod is inserted into a bulky handle formed by numerous layers of light-brown tape wrapped around the base, creating an enlarged grip. Additional lengths of tape remain partially detached and folded outward from the handle, indicating deterioration or partial unwrapping. The steel rod exhibits extensive corrosion and oxidation, while the taped handle is heavily soiled, worn, and compressed from handling. The overall construction is consistent with a simple improvised stabbing weapon intended for close-quarters use.
