Association

The Micro Uzi has long been associated with the European criminal underworld, where its compact size and concealability made it a favored weapon among organized crime groups. It has appeared in numerous gangland shootings and criminal investigations across Europe. The machine pistol is associated with our book HEAVYWEIGHT, which examines the use of military-style firearms within Dutch organized crime.

Description

Original IMI Micro Uzi 9×19 mm submachine gun manufactured by Israel Military Industries (IMI). Introduced in the early 1980s as the most compact member of the Uzi family, the Micro Uzi was developed for special operations forces, protective security details, and personnel requiring a highly concealable automatic weapon. It retains the Uzi's characteristic telescoping bolt and magazine-in-grip configuration while featuring a shortened receiver, compact barrel, side-folding metal stock, and threaded muzzle. With a cyclic rate of approximately 1,200 rounds per minute, it is among the fastest-firing submachine guns ever adopted for military service. Owing to its compact dimensions, reliability, and ability to be concealed beneath clothing, the Micro Uzi also gained widespread notoriety within the European criminal underworld from the late 1980s onward, where it became closely associated with contract killings, organized crime, and gangland violence and was documented in the arsenals of European organized crime groups. The example shown bears original IMI receiver markings and has been professionally deactivated in accordance with applicable EU (European Union) regulations, rendering it permanently incapable of firing.

Notes

All required EU deactivation certification, paperwork, and firearms passport/documentation accompanying this firearm are included, permitting its lawful exhibition and transport within the European Union in accordance with applicable regulations.
