Description

Hand-drawn prison paño executed in ink on cotton fabric, depicting a central female figure set against a collage of Chicano and prison-themed imagery. The composition incorporates a lowrider automobile, a couple, armed figure holding a shotgun, prison guard tower, urban skyline, hourglass and clock symbolizing the passage of time, and portraits of a man and woman suggestive of loved ones outside prison. Dominating the upper right is a sinister clown aiming a pistol, with a skull visible inside the weapon's barrel.
