Association

Worn by a Russian Wagner Group mercenary on field equipment during combat operations in the Donetsk region.

Description

Original Wagner Group morale patch featuring the word “JUMBO” embroidered prominently across the top above the organization’s signature skull-in-crosshair emblem. The central motif combines Wagner’s classic combat skull with a large hand making the “shaka” gesture, known within Wagner circles as “Jambo” or “Jumbo.” The gesture became associated with the group following a notorious 2017 video from Syria featuring a Russian mercenary making the sign. Its name may have been connected to a fighter or call sign associated with the footage, though the precise origin remains uncertain.
