Two original monochrome PMC Wagner Group combat emblem patches, featuring the organization's distinctive skull-within-crosshairs insignia surrounded by bilingual Russian and English inscriptions reading PMC Wagner Group / Группа Вагнера. Unlike the more common black-and-red version, these examples employ a subdued monochrome thread pattern intended for lower visual contrast while retaining the same design.
This insignia represents the organization's principal combat emblem, here in its monochrome (low-visibility) variant. The skull-in-crosshairs logo has been documented on uniforms and equipment worn by Wagner personnel across operational theaters including Ukraine, Syria, Libya, the Central African Republic, Mali, and other regions where the organization has maintained a presence.
Both patches display pronounced operational wear and battlefield patina, including frayed embroidery, abrasions, embedded dirt, and localized burn damage. One example exhibits a noticeable pinkish discoloration across the embroidery, consistent with blood staining absorbed into the white thread, while the second retains a lighter monochrome appearance with scattered staining and edge wear. Both were recovered from the Battle of Bakhmut and nearby Andriivka and Toretsk in 2023.
